Hi everyone and welcome!
We are Radka, Alirio, Kai, and Kiara – the faces behind @endlessfamilyadventure.
I (Radka) am originally from the Czech Republic, my husband, Alirio, is from Venezuela, and we have lived in Denver, Colorado, since 2014 with our two kids.
After moving to Denver, we fell in love with the mountains and tried to spend most of our weekends, holidays, and vacations exploring Colorado and neighboring states. Occasionally, we flew to Europe to visit my family or took another international trip as vacation time and as budget allowed.
In 2019, we bought a used Sprinter van and slowly converted it into our adventure van. It has given us the opportunity to take many road trips and plenty of weekend camping trips. We absolutely loved this time with our kids and enjoyed the convenience of camping while taking our small house-on-wheels with us. We wanted more of this, and the idea of a gap year has been slowly forming.
In 2023, we made it happen! We decluttered our house, sold most of our belongings, and left Colorado with our van to spend 6 months in Baja California; we camped on beautiful beaches, volunteered at a local rescue, ate a lot of fresh tortillas, and truly just enjoyed the time together.
For the second half of our gap year, we flew to my home country Czech Republic with the idea of exploring Europe. We have already gone way over the 6 months we planned to be here, but new opportunities and life changes have forced us to rethink our original plans and form new ones.
We don’t exactly know what is next for us, but we do know that we want to continue to travel with our kids and explore Europe for the next few months, so stay tuned for more adventures!
